This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you interact with us through The Movement Studio Website (themovement.studio, the “Website”), The Movement Studio Mobile Application (the “App”), and the TMS Management System powered by Wellyx (together, the “Platforms”), as well as through registration forms and during participation in our classes and activities.
By using our Platforms or services, or by registering yourself or your child with TMS, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
1. YOUR PRIVACY
We will take reasonable care to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, modification, loss or disclosure.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION
“Personal Information” means any data that identifies you or your child. This may include:

We may collect personal information either directly from you or your authorised representatives, from third parties or through our Website, mobile and web applications, services application forms and other methods such as surveys.

5. WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
From time to time, we use other third parties to perform obligations related to the provision of our products or services. Those entities may include:

Wellyx, which provides the integrated booking, account management, and payment processing platform used by TMS.

We are required to disclose your Personal Information to the parties described above so that they may carry out their obligations to us, and to you. We do not sell or trade personal data to third parties. All disclosures are limited to purposes consistent with this Policy.
5. HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You can access, correct or update your listed customer details by logging in to your The Movement Studio account on the Website or App.
If you require access or a copy of your Personal Information within our possession, please contact us and we will assess your request. In some cases, we may impose a reasonable charge for making copies of Personal Information available to you. If so, we will advise you of the charge prior to making the information available to you.
6. MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

You may receive service-related communications (class schedules, booking confirmations, policy updates). These are necessary and cannot be unsubscribed from.

You may also receive marketing communications about promotions, events, or services. You may opt out of marketing at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in our emails or contacting us (see Section 13).
7. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

By attending classes, rehearsals, or events, participants consent to TMS capturing photographs or videos that may be used for training, publicity, and promotional purposes, including but not limited to online classes, social media, websites, advertising, and marketing materials.

Parents or guardians of participants under 18 years old may notify TMS in writing before the start of a term or program if they do not wish their child to be included.

8. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by law. When data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted or anonymised.
9. SECURITY MEASURES
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption, access controls, and secure storage systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and TMS cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event of a data breach that results in, or is likely to result in, significant harm or impact to you, TMS will notify you and the relevant authorities as required under applicable laws.
11. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS
The TMS Management System is powered by Wellyx, a third-party provider that enables booking, account management, payments, and communications. Your personal data may therefore be processed and stored on systems operated by Wellyx, which may be hosted outside Singapore.
TMS will take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers comply with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection comparable to that under Singapore law.
12. ACCESS, CORRECTION & WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

You may access or update your account details by logging into the Platforms.

To request access to, correction of, or a copy of your personal data, please contact us (see Section 13). A reasonable fee may be charged for providing copies.
Withdrawal of Consent

You may request to withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data by contacting us (see Section 13). Your request will take effect within 30 days upon receipt.

Your request will be processed within 30 days. Non-marketing messages (e.g., booking confirmations, service updates, policy changes) will not be affected.
12. FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY OF CLASS
The Movement Studio will take images, photos or videos that may be used to promote TMS classes and events in the future. TMS will notify and obtain consent from parents or guardians of children (persons below the age of 14 years old) prior to any photography, audio recording, video recording. By entering the premises and attending the class, you consent to your photography, audio recording, video recording and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for TMS’ online classes, promotional material, broadcasting, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media or any other purpose by The Movement Studio, its agents and representatives.
By attending the class, you release The Movement Studio, its employees and any and all
persons involved from any liability in connection with the taking, recording, digitising, publication and use of photographs, computer images, video or sound recordings.
By entering the premises and attending the class, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication and irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.
You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video or audio recording taken by The Movement Studio, its employees or any person or entity designated to do so by The Movement Studio.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior written notice. Updates to the Privacy Policy will be published on this page, with the date of revision included. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
