FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

WHERE IS THE MOVEMENT STUDIO LOCATED?

Our studio is located at 101 Cantonment Rd, #01-02, Singapore 089774. The nearest MRT station is Tanjong Pagar MRT, via Exit A (Video). You can also get to the studio via Outram MRT, Exit 5.

The nearest sheltered car park to the studio is at Pinnacle @ Duxton, Blk 1E. From the car park, you can go up to Level 3 and exit. There will be a sheltered walkway leading directly to TPCC.

WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE AT THE STUDIO?

The Movement Studio: Restroom, Towels, Fitness Equipment, Mats, Parking

WHAT TO WEAR?

Adults

Ballet/Contemporary Ballet: Ballet attire, leotard and ballet shoes. Alternatively, fitted clothing and socks. No sneakers allowed.

Barre/Contemporary Dance: Comfortable top and long bottoms that allow you to move confidently and freely. Fitted Leggings/yoga pants are highly recommended. Barefoot or Socks of own preference.

Cardio Dance/HipHop: Comfortable top and bottoms with Sneakers.

Children

Ballet: Leotard, tights and ballet shoes

Jazz: Leotard, tights and jazz shoes

*For the first class, you can wear a comfortable snug-fitting top and tights/leggings.

WHICH CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

You can call/WA us or email us to let us know which classes you are interested in, and our staff will advise you from there. All classes in our schedule are open and running, so you can join anytime. If classes are full, we will put you on a waitlist. We could open a new class with minimum of 3 students.

HOW OLD MUST MY CHILD BE TO ENROL FOR CLASSES?

Our children's classes start at age 12 months. Please enquire for more details.

CAN MY CHILD SKIP GRADES?

Subject to Teacher's assessment.

DO WE OFFER EXAMINATION CERTIFICATIONS?

For Ballet: We offer the UK Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus and AU Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Syllabus

For Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop: We offer the AU Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Syllabus.

HOW DO I PURCHASE CLASS CREDITS?

For Adult Classes you can purchase online via Credit Card (here). For all classes you can also drop us an email (hello@themovement.studio) or fill in the contact form, or Whatsapp 87761445/88982676. and pay via Bank Transfer or Paynow.

HOW OLD MUST I BE TO ENROL FOR ADULT CLASSES?

21 and above. Exceptions can be granted from 18.

ARE CLASS CREDITS TRANSFERRABLE?

No, they are not transferrable.
