Dearest TMS Family, words cannot express how excited we are to have you back in the studio with us! Our team is in constant conversation with the governing body, National Arts Council, Sports SG, and other dance and fitness industry leaders to talk about the future of dance and fitness in a seemingly endemic world.
From 23 August 2021, the studio will implement vaccination-differentiation safe management measures (VDS) as per government guidelines: check-in via TraceTogether is mandatory, and the sole source of eligibility verification for our unmasked classes. We will offer classes with no mask required during practice and provide equipment in our studio for Eligible Individuals.
Eligible Individuals, as defined by government mandate, are:
Fully vaccinated (14 days have passed after the second jab) and TraceTogether Health Status indicates ‘Vaccinated’
Non-fully vaccinated individuals or recovered COVID-19 individuals who produce a valid negative result on a Pre-Event Test (PET) obtained from an MOH-approved testing facility, within 24 hours of the end of class time.
The option to keep a mask on during practice in our studio is open for Eligible Individuals. Eligible Individuals will practice in clearly demarcated spaces away from other users, in accordance with the guidelines below.
Members who wish to practice in our studio, who do not fall into the above 2 categories, are required to keep a mask on at all times and bring their own equipment.
Children aged 12 years old and below are currently ineligible for any COVID-19 vaccine under the national vaccination programme. Hence, children under this age group are required to keep a mask on during practice in our studio.
Our priority is to keep you safe and adhere to government guidelines as you sweat in our studios. For this, we have adopted the following best practices. Some of the measures below are temporary and others will be permanent. We appreciate your understanding that we may refuse entry and/or ask anyone to leave our premises should you have a persistent cough or sneeze, appear unwell, or if you are deemed to pose a threat to the safety of our environment.
SafeEntry & Contact Tracing
Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of class to allow sufficient time for the check-in process and to settle in — especially if it is your first visit (back) with us. All members are required to check-in via the TraceTogether App. For mask-off classes, members must present their TraceTogether Health Status as ‘Vaccinated’. Please remember to SafeEntry check-out when you leave our studio.
Temperature Screening & Checks on Visible Symptoms
As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce, the temperature screening requirement will be removed from 19 August 2021. However, if you are present with coughing, sneezing, breathlessness or a runny nose, you will be denied entry to the studio. Please stay home if you are unwell. If your family or household member has flu-like symptoms, we ask that you stay home too. If you suddenly feel unwell or develop flu-like symptoms prior to class, please cancel your booking at least 6 hours in advance.
Safe Distancing
Individuals must maintain a 1-metre physical distance in non-exercising areas (e.g., studio entrance) at all times. We have clear demarcations throughout our studio to ensure safe distancing. Classes are conducted with a maximum of 5 individuals per group, with a 2-metre physical distance between individuals. Each group must maintain a distance of 3 metres apart from each other at all times and should not intermingle. Please leave the studio within 10 minutes from the end of your class - this is so that we have sufficient time to disinfect our studio surfaces and equipment before the next class.
Provision of Equipment
Equipment such as mats, balls, blocks, resistance bands, weights, etc., will be provided during practice in our studio for Eligible Individuals. For Hygiene Purposes, sweat towels are compulsory for all classes. For eco-friendly purposes, please bring your own towel or towels are available for purchase at $10.00. Additionally, for classes that use a mat, please bring a towel to cover the mat.
Mask Wearing
Masks should be worn as a default. Masks can be taken off during practice for Eligible Individuals, although it is still recommended as good practice even under such circumstances.
Cleaning, Disinfection, and Sanitisation
We have increased cleaning throughout the day and daily deep-cleaning of the entire studio. Medical-grade hand sanitisers and disinfectants are readily available in our studio. Hand sanitisation will be required upon entry. Medical-grade disinfectants are used to clean our studio, equipment and high-touch surfaces between every class and used for all continuous and deep-cleaning processes. Members will be asked to use the disinfectant sprays and wipes to wipe the equipment before and after use.
Capacity and Class Booking
Our class capacity will be reduced to allow sufficient safe distancing. Hence booking spots are limited for each class. To safely manage the capacity in our studio, members will need to book a class in advance via our Website or App to secure a spot. We highly encourage use of the waitlist if you are ready and able to attend on short notice. As always, our late cancellation policy will be strictly implemented - cancellations made within 6 hours of the class start time are not refundable. For personal training classes, please reach out to us at hello@themovement.studio or contact us +65 8849 6694.
Contactless Transactions
All check-ins and payments are contactless. Please ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth is switched on when you’re in the vicinity. We have switched to cashless and contactless payment via Bank Transfers, Internet Banking, ATM Transfers and PayNow.
Our Team
Our team will receive extensive training on the new processes and protocols with ongoing formal inspections. Our team undergoes regular fast easy testing (FET) for COVID-19 as mandated by the government, so you can attend in-studio classes with peace of mind. Our Instructors will continue to wear a mask and coach you from a safe distance. This means no hands-on adjustments or high-fives, but know that they are proud of your efforts.
Communication
In the event there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at our studio, notification will be provided via email and text. Members will be requested to contact our studio if they experience or test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last studio visit. Our Safety Measures will be updated as we adapt and evaluate existing and new protocols.
We will be in touch soon with more information regarding reopening dates and additional steps to prepare you for your return. We look forward to serving you for many years to come and seeing you again very soon. Until then, please take care of yourselves and each other.
